What is carbon laser peel?
Carbon peeling is a skin rejuvenation procedure performed using a Q-Switched ND YAG laser.
What is Q-Switched ND YAG laser?
Q-Switched Nd:YAG systems deliver very short laser pulses, commonly at 1064 nm and, on suitable systems, frequency-doubled 532 nm. Their use depends on the device, wavelength, target and skin type. Laser treatment can still cause burns, pigment change, irritation or scarring, so it should not be described as leaving surrounding tissue completely unaffected.
Carbon Laser Peel Process:
A carbon-based topical preparation is applied to the skin and the laser is then used according to the selected protocol. The treatment may temporarily improve oiliness, surface appearance or the visible appearance of pores in selected patients, but pores are normal anatomical structures and cannot be permanently closed. Comfort, recovery and response vary with the device settings and skin.
